The article discusses a study on the drug ribavirin's safety as monotherapy for hepatitis E virus (HEV) infection in solid-organ transplant patients in France. Topics addressed include the suitability of a three-month treatment course for most patients, HEV clearance in the majority of patients, and the recurrence of HEV replication in several patients after treatment was halted.
