مستخلص: The article presents a study which analyzes the amino acid residues of Pdi, a polysaccharide deacetylase gene in the aquatic zoonotic pathogen Steptococcus iniae. It says that little is known about the virulence factors of S. iniae which shows threat to the aquaculture industry and presents risk to humans handling raw fish. The study made used of bioinformatics tools to identify the conserved signature motif in Pdi. Results show the involvement of Pdi to the adherence and invasion of S. iniae.
