The article presents a case study of a 20-year-old woman with no medical history who presented with a painless swelling over her left middle finger, a disease known as contagious ecthyma. It states that contagious ecthyma or orf's disease is a viral zoonotic disease caused by parapoxvirus ovis (orf virus) that primarily occurs in sheep and goats worldwide and in camels. It also states that the skin disease have different treatment options including cryotherapy, imiquimod and acyclovir. |
