The article discusses several studies on preterm labor and birth. Noted is the high incidence of preterm birth rate in the U.S. despite improvements in access to and use of prenatal care. The advancement of predicting, managing and preventing preterm labor and birth is hindered by the heterogeneity of the clinical entity. In the U.S., it is said that Hispanic black women have the highest risk for preterm labor and birth. |
