مستخلص: The article discusses research investigating the susceptibility to eccentric exercise-induced damage of fast and slow twitch muscle fibers in the quadriceps muscle. Serum measurements of creatine kinase (CK) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), average torque, and fibronectin levels were recorded each day for nine men. The authors' conclusion that responses to repeated bouts of eccentric exercise are dependent on the fiber type in the quadriceps muscle is discussed.
