مستخلص: The article discusses a study which investigated the risk of hospital admission for bleeding associated with different antithrombotic regimens. The researchers identified 40,812 patients aged 30 years or older who were hospitalised for first-time myocardial infarction between 2000 and 2005 by using registers from Denmark. Cox proportional hazard models with the drug exposure groups as time-varying covariates were used to assess risk of hospital admission for bleeding and death. A link between risk of hospital admission for bleeding and antithrombotic drugs was discovered.
