The article presents a study on the assessment of femoral and radial access for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS). It states that radial access for PCI decreases vascular bleeding and complications compared with the femoral access. It mentions the used of RadIal Versus FemorAL access for coronary intervention (RIVAL) trial, a parallel group and multicentre trial, in which patients were enrolled to find out if patients had ACS. |
