The article discusses the highlights of the 4th International IUPAC Conference on Green Chemistry (4th ICGC) of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) held on August 25-29, 2012 in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. The conference attracted 600 participants from 40 countries and focused on benign synthesis, green chemistry and green engineering. Ten plenary lectures were delivered by eminent scientists including Paul Anastas, Pietro Tundo and James Clark. |
