This article presents information on the risks faced by hotel housekeepers in the U.S. According to a study released in April the ergonomic risks faced by hotel housekeepers are high. The study found that not only are housekeepers injured more frequently but the problem is getting worse as hotel companies strive to satisfy consumers with more amenities as heavier beds, thicker linens, and in-room treadmills. The article also informs that in a survey of more than 600 hotel housekeepers, 91 percent reported experiencing workplace pain. |
