The article discusses a study on the use of non-linear models to assess the growth of crossbred pigs at Jabalpur and Tirupati research stations in India from 1986 to 1990. The non-linear models, namely, exponential, logistic and Gompertz, were described. According to the authors, the growth of male pigs at Jabalpur research stations should be measured by Gompertz model. Shapiro-Wilks test statistics W were used to determine the randomness of residuals run test and the normality of the residuals. |
