| الوصف: | Money is omnipresent in modern life, yet the production of money does not seem to warrant any moral assessment. This gap concerns most notably themoral aspects of modern monetary institutions – in particular banks, central banks, and immaterial money. The present work fills this gap with an inter- disciplinary analysis combining political economy, realist philosophy, and Catholic moral doctrine. Its last part retraces the monetary history of the West since the 17th century. It concludes with a plea for monetary reform. ; Alors que la monnaie est omniprésente dans la vie moderne, sa production n'appelle, semble-t-il, aucune évaluation morale particulière. Ce manque concerne surtout les institutions monétaires modernes — les banques, les banques centrales et les monnaies immatérielles. Le présent ouvrage comble cette lacune par une synthèse entre l'économie politique, la philosophie réaliste et la doctrine morale catholique. Sa dernière partie esquisse l'histoire monétaire de l'Occident des trois derniers siècles. Il conclut par un plaidoyer pour la réforme monétaire. |
