مستخلص: Xanthones are a class of heterocyclic compounds containing oxygen, with a yellow coloration and all of them have dibenzo-g-pyrone as the basic skeleton. A number of this class of compounds has been isolated from a variety of natural sources (higher plants, fungi and lichens).
