    مستخلص: One new α -pyrone derivative (S)-3-(4-methoxy-3-methyl-2-oxo-2 H -pyran-6-yl)butyl acetate (1) and one new fatty acid derivative (4 S ,5 S)-5-acetoxy-4-hydroxyhexanoic acid (2), along with six known compounds (3–8) were obtained from the mangrove-derived fungus Phomopsis sp. HYP11. Their structures and absolute configurations were determined by detailed 1D and 2D NMR, HR-ESI-MS spectral, and quantum chemical electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculations. Compounds 2 , 3 , 5 , 6 and 8 showed antioxidant activity with the IC 50 values range of 0.09–0.67 mM, especially compounds 5 and 6 showed stronger antioxidant activity than the positive control trolox (IC 50 = 0.29 mM). Compound 8 showed weak antagonistic effect on Ralstonia solanacearum with the MIC value of 50 μg/mL. Herein, a series of quinolinone derivatives were designed and synthesized based on the structure of Tazemetostat as the lead compound. Compound 9l (EZH2WT IC 50 = 0.94 nM) showed stronger antiproliferative activity in HeLa cells than the lead compound.     مستخلص: UV irradiation significantly alters nanoplastics (NPs) physicochemical properties, thus affecting their biological toxicity. This study is the first to assess the influence of virgin and UV-aged polystyrene NPs (v-PS NPs, a-PS NPs) on the intestinal barrier of ICR mice. We found that a-PS NPs can cause more severe intestinal barrier damage compared with v-PS NPs. The reason may be attributed to that a-PS NPs produced more ROS in intestinal tissue. Moreover, the strong oxidizing property of hydroxyl radicals (·OH) generated from the a-PS NPs can damage cell membranes through lipid peroxidation, thereby leading to a low clearance rate of ·OH due to the impaired intestinal tissue function, in turn, causing more ROS to accumulate and inducing severe oxidative damage.     مستخلص: Epidemiological evidence has indicated a closely link between PM 0.1 exposure and the incidence rate of cardiovascular diseases. This study explores the underlying communication roles of platelet-derived extracellular vesicles (PEVs) heterogeneous subpopulations in cardiovascular injury. PEVs and PMEVs which were extracted from platelet-rich plasma (PRP) un-exposure or exposure to PM 0.1 by TIM4 affinity beads. By optimizing separation conditions, replacing pipelines, and resetting injection procedures, Asymmetric flow field-flow fractionation (AF4) was employed to separate, purify, characterize, and enrich PEVs and PMEVs heterogeneous subpopulations (small PEVs, PEVs-S/PMEVs-S: <100 nm; medium PEVs, PEVs-M/PMEVs-M: 100–200 nm; and large PEVs, PEVs-L/PMEVs-L: >200 nm). The results showed that the cargoes of PMEVs heterogeneous subpopulations which were released by PRP stimulated by PM 0.1 were changed obviously. Moreover, compared with PEVs, PMEVs can lead to a decrease in the survival rate of Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVECs). In PMEVs-S subpopulations, the alterations of lipids associated with membrane fusion and cell signaling transport (such as PC, Cer), as well as miRNAs related to inflammation, angiogenesis, and migration (miR-223, miR-22, miR-126, and miR-150), are similar to those in PMEVs-M subpopulations but distinct from PMEVs-L subpopulations. This study revealed the diverse communication mechanisms underlying PM 0.1 -induced cardiovascular injury, thereby offering potential avenues for the development of new biomarkers and therapeutic targets.     مستخلص: Portable near-infrared (NIR) spectrophotometers have emerged as valuable tools for identifying substandard and falsified pharmaceuticals (SFPs). Integration of these devices with chemometric and machine learning models enhances their ability to provide quantitative chemical insights. However, different NIR spectrophotometer models vary in resolution, sensitivity, and responses to environmental factors such as temperature and humidity, necessitating instrument-specific libraries that hinder the wider adoption of NIR technology. This study addresses these challenges and seeks to establish a robust approach to promote the use of NIR technology in post-market pharmaceutical analysis. We developed support vector machine and partial least squares regression models based on binary mixtures of lab-made ciprofloxacin and microcrystalline cellulose, then applied the models to ciprofloxacin dosage forms that were assayed with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was performed to set spectrophotometer independent NIR metrics to evaluate ciprofloxacin dosage forms as "meets standard," "needs HPLC assay," or "fails standard." Over 200 ciprofloxacin tablets representing 50 different brands were evaluated using spectra acquired from three types of NIR spectrophotometer with 85% of the prediction agreeing with HPLC testing. This study shows that non-brand-specific predictive models can be applied across multiple spectrophotometers for rapid screening of the conformity of pharmaceutical active ingredients to regulatory standard. • NIR technology identifies substandard pharmaceuticals. • Models validate ciprofloxacin tablet content. • Models adaptable to different spectrophotometers.     مستخلص: Tomato is an important vegetable crop in the world, with rich nutritional value. Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis (Cmm) can cause infection to tomato, reduce the yield and quality of tomato, and seriously affect the sale and consumption of tomato. Protocatechuic acid (PCA), a natural phenolic compound, has been proved to have excellent antibacterial effects, possessing higher food safety and environmental friendliness than chemical bactericides. Therefore, PCA was chosen to be the potential bactericide to against Cmm and further applied into the investigation on its mechanism. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of PCA on Cmm was 0.156 mg/mL. The preventive activity of PCA on Cmm was 60.00%–70.00%, and the therapeutic activity was 64.70%–74.51%. Cmm treated with PCA showed a significant increase in surface potential and surface hydrophobicity compared to the untreated ones. In addition, it was observed in this study that PCA could damage the cell wall, damage the cell membrane by enhancing cell membrane permeability and reducing membrane potential, cause the leakage of intracellular ions, lead to a large accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), and inhibit the activities of total atpase (T-ATPase), pyruvate kinase (PK) and succinate dehydrogenase (SDH). In summary, these studies indicated that PCA had good antibacterial activity against Cmm and had great potential to be applied to tomato as a natural antibacterial agent.     مستخلص: Co-occurrence and mutual exclusivity of genomic alterations may reflect the existence of genetic interactions, potentially shaping distinct biological phenotypes and impacting therapeutic response in breast cancer. However, our understanding of them remains limited. Herein, we investigate a large-scale multi-omics cohort (n = 873) and a real-world clinical sequencing cohort (n = 4,405) including several clinical trials with detailed treatment outcomes and perform functional validation in patient-derived organoids, tumor fragments, and in vivo models. Through this comprehensive approach, we construct a network comprising co-alterations and mutually exclusive events and characterize their therapeutic potential and underlying biological basis. Notably, we identify associations between TP53 mut -AURKA amp and endocrine therapy resistance, germline BRCA1 mut -MYC amp and improved sensitivity to PARP inhibitors, and TP53 mut -MYB amp and immunotherapy resistance. Furthermore, we reveal that precision treatment strategies informed by co-alterations hold promise to improve patient outcomes. Our study highlights the significance of genetic interactions in guiding genome-informed treatment decisions beyond single driver alterations.     مستخلص: We explore the impact of initial correlations within an open quantum system on the thermodynamic process. The system of interest consists of two interacting subsystems, each embedded in a thermal reservoir. Our findings reveal that when there are initial correlations between the subsystems, heat can be transferred from the colder body to the hotter one or accelerated to flow from the hotter body to the colder one. This is made possible by selecting the appropriate relative phase of the system's correlated state. Moreover, the correlated system can act as a refrigerator or an accelerator while simultaneously performing work on an external agent. We also extend our study to a multipartite system, where we demonstrate that the accumulation of correlations in the system can enhance the reversed heat, the work, and the reversal duration. • The anomalous heat flow is demonstrated in an open quantum system with initial correlations. • The system's initial correlations can be applied to perform work. • The system with initial correlations can operate as a hybrid heat machine. • The accumulation of correlations in a multipartite system can enhance the reversed heat.     مستخلص: • Chen-Guo hydrate model was extended to complex systems with additives of polar inhibitors. • NRTL model was cooperated with the combinatorial term and the association term. • The lattice parameters in hydrate phase were reoptimized when below 273 K. • The overall ARD in pressure and temperature for 1149 data points is 3.991% and 0.108%. • A higher prediction precision for high-concentration polar inhibitor solutions was obtained. As the major interest in flow assurance of oil and natural gas production, the concentrations of injected alcohols are commonly high exceeding mass fraction of 30 %. In this work, the non-ideality of aqueous phase is represented by the activity coefficient model, in which the water and inhibitor molecules are regarded as associating compounds, and the differences in size and shape between them are properly considered. Coupled with the Chen-Guo hydrate model, the proposed model has been extended to represent the hydrate phase equilibrium of pure gas and gas mixtures in aqueous alcohol solutions with concentrations up to 50 wt%. Moreover, the hydrate lattice parameter was reoptimized to extend the Chen-Guo hydrate model to systems below 273.15 K, when high-concentration of alcohols is present. The predictions of the proposed model have been compared with the experimental data, with the average relative deviations in pressure and temperature of 3.991 % and 0.108 %, respectively, verifying the reliability of this model. Compared with other thermodynamic models or correlations, the proposed model in this work is equivalent to or outperformed those in predicting hydrate formation conditions, especially at high alcohol concentrations. Furthermore, we show that for planar r -regular simple graphs, where r ∈ { 3 , 4 , 5 } , counting edge colorings with κ colors for any κ ≥ r is also #P-complete.
