Examines the incidence of otitis media with effusion (OME) among children with bilateral congenital or early-onset hearing impairment (CEHI) to asses effects of OME diagnosis on CEHI detection. Diagnosis of OME in CEHI child patients; Confirmation of CEHI prior to OME occurrence; Suggestion for hearing examinations for children undergoing ventilation tube placement to exclude coexisting sensorineural hearing loss. |
