Summarizes the results of a study on the subcellular localization of the membrane-associated fractions of iron regulatory proteins (IRP) to endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi membranes. Condition of rats used to examine the intracellular distribution of IRP biochemically; Cell treatments adopted to identify the mechanisms and factors involved in the localization of IRP in the cytosol and membrane fractions; Factors that alter the iron-regulatory-protein-binding activity in the membrane fraction. |
