The article presents the discussion on implementation and widespread use of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) in prostate cancer patients. Topics include targeting biopsies better predicting extraprostatic extension at prostatectomy, detecting anteriorly located tumors, and identifying perineural invasion; and biopsy being negative for carcinoma demonstrating the increased stroma, chronic inflammation, and atrophy. |
