The article discusses the progressive macular hypomelanosis (PMH) which was cited in the study of Gerard Guillet and colleagues in 1985 and 1988. It cites the immunohistochemical and ultrastructural study on PMH in a 29-year-old Romanian female which also shows the evidence for a bacterial origin of the said disease. It states that no consensus has been reached regarding the aetiology of PMH. It mentions that PMH occurs in the absence of propionibacterium based on their observations. |
