الوصف: The partial differential equation of heat transfer of a packed bed was solved with Lapalace’s translation, and the Characteristic number of the temperature distribution function were obtained from the mathematic and statistic analysis. The temperature distributing function of the packed bed was derived from using the Hermite’s Polynomials, and characteristic number of the temperature distribution related to the thermal parameters were expressed by simple algebraic equations.Copyright © 2003 by ASME
