مستخلص: The article focuses on the association between self-perceived memory loss and regional cerebral metabolic decline. Subjective memory complaints and change in cognition may vary as a function of ethnicity. Physiological indexes of brain function or biological markers for dementia risk may be used in assessing memory complaints. In a study conducted, the degree of perceived memory loss correlates with a global cerebral metabolic decline for apolipoprotein E-IV carriers and noncarriers.
