مستخلص: The article reports on the study that investigates that cost-effectiveness of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) to relieve pain and improves quality of life for persons with advanced knee osteoarthritis. It shows that TKA increases quality-adjusted life expectancy (QALE) from 6.822 to 7.957 quality-adjusted life years (QALY). It reveals that TKA appears to be cost-effective in the U.S. Medicare-aged population and suggests that policy decisions should be made based on available local options for TKA.
