مستخلص: The article presents a study which identifies the risk factors of venous thromboembolism among first-degree relatives of patients with first episode of unprovoked venous thromboembolism. The prevalence of previous venous thromboembolism, characteristic and presence of G20210A prothrombin gene mutation of patients was assessed to serve as indicators of venous thromboembolism in their relatives. There is 5.3% prevalence of previous episodes of venous thromboembolism in the first-degree relatives.
