To quantify ecosystem services several methods have been developed, that succeed to address almost the entire range of ecosystems' benefi ts for human. Using these methods has gained popularity in both developed and developing countries. However, most of studies focus on the U.S., UK and Scandinavian countries (Norway, Sweden, and Finland). In addition, the economic approach to global ecosystem services is poor, the assessment proposed by Costanza et al. (1997), despite the many criticisms of methodological rigor, is still the most important point of reference. For Romania, the assessment of ecosystem services is at the beginning, but we can speak about a growing interest to conduct such studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

Pentru cuantifi carea serviciilor de ecosistem s-au dezvoltat numeroase metode care reuşesc să adreseze aproape întreaga gamă de benefi cii aduse de ecosisteme oamenilor. Utilizarea acestor metode a câştigat teren atât în ţările dezvoltate, cât şi în ţările în curs de dezvoltare. Majoritatea studiilor realizate se concentrează în SUA, Marea Britanie şi ţările scandinave (Norvegia, Suedia, Finlanda). Abordarea economică a serviciilor de ecosistem la nivel global este defi citară, evaluarea propusă de Costanza şi colaboratori (1997), în pofi da numeroaselor critici privind rigoarea metodologică, este în continuare cel mai important punct de referinţă. Pentru România, evaluarea serviciilor de ecosistem este într-o fază incipientă, constatându-se însă o creştere a interesului pentru realizarea unor astfel de studii. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
