On discussing the "test-tube baby", the article approaches the contemporary issue of bioethics. It focuses on the social and technological changes that allow alternative procreation, independent from marriage and social or sexual relations, since the major issue is the "children of science" with DNA-proved parenthood. The author emphasizes, however, that these technological changes are not able to approach the dimension of desire, the filial relationship and other social and human aspects. Thus, the issues on bioethics lead to the debate on desire, freedom and responsibility, which can be dealt with from a psychoanalytical view. In that case, the role of Psychoanalysis is to denounce the existence of a narcissistic desire that, instead of pursuing the relationship with the other, seeks self generation and self-sufficiency. A partir das discussões sobre o "bebê de proveta", este artigo chega a questões atuais da bioética. Concentra-se nas mudanças sociais e tecnológicas que hoje possibilitam a procriação alternativa, independente do casamento e das relações sociais ou sexuais, já que o que conta são os "filhos da ciência" com paternidade e maternidade comprovadas pelo DNA. A autora ressalta, porém, que essas mudanças tecnológicas não conseguem tematizar a dimensão do desejo, a relação filial nem outros aspectos sociais e humanos. Assim, as perguntas da bioética levam à discussão sobre o desejo, a liberdade e a responsabilidade, tratadas a partir da psicanálise. O papel da psicanálise, nesse caso, é denunciar a existência de um desejo narcisista que, ao invés da relação com outros, busca a autogeração e a auto-suficiência. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
