الوصف: In Information Science, studies in the field of Organization and Information Representation link the relationship between documents and communities served by the information units. In this sense, considering the LGBTQ community, it is questioned what research has been developed on the subject in the area of Information Science. The research, with the objective of mapping the national and international academic and scientific production in Information Science on the LGBTQ + theme, is justified by the fact that they involve aspects inherent in representation and access to information, as well as those related to use studies and information users. In order to carry out this survey, four platforms were chosen: BENANCIB, BRAPCI, NDLTD and SciELO. Data were collected between September 2017 and July 2018. Key words were used in English, Portuguese and Spanish in order to broaden the reach of the search results. It is concluded that studies related to the subject are still scarce in the area (28 documents retrieved) and that, among the authors, stand out: Fabio Assis Pinho, Francisco Arrais Nascimento and José Augusto Chaves Guimarães.

الوصف: The work Rethinking the Sacred: Religious Traditions in Brazil and its informational dimension is a collective initiative of authors and authors from different fields of Science Human and Social. A theoretical proposal embraced by religious and religious activists and anti-racist activists, decolonial, progressive, democratic and above all for intellectuals who believe in committed scientific work with social changes and guaranteed human rights. In Brazil, it is possible to find different forms of religious manifestations. However, the existence of numerous religions in Brazilian territory have no meaning a social harmony or political agreement of tolerance and respect. On the contrary, we live in Brazil several episodes of religious intolerance and since the 1980s a growing persecution carried out by religious sectors neopentecostals the religious traditions of African origins and indigenous. Intolerances of faith, disregard for the Constitution Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1988 that guarantees religious freedom and defines the Brazilian State as secular. The intolerance and religious racism that the sectors Neo-Pentecostals have exercised over different groups of African matrices, Catholic Christians, Muslims and ethnicities indigenous peoples are some of the main obstacles to the establishment and guarantee of the Brazilian State as secular and democratic. Urgent issues to be considered and analyzed by the Brazilian academy and intellectuals.

الوصف: The theory of organizational knowledge creation presented wide acceptance and impact in the academic and professional environments, when it was published more than two decades ago, a condition that has been maintained over the years. Conceptually, it considers two dimensions, epistemological and ontological, to address how the creation of knowledge in organizations occurs. However, since its publication, the context in which the organizations are inserted has undergone profound transformations, especially with regard to the production and dissemination of information, based on advances in information and communication technologies (ICTs). The objective of this article was to revisit the theory of organizational knowledge creation, emphasizing the role of information, as registered knowledge, and of the ICT in the support to the creation of knowledge in organizations. In general, the results pointed to a wide application of ICTs in the promotion of knowledge and a rise of technological resources towards the levels of information and knowledge in the organizational sphere.

الوصف: This reflection study is exploratory and descriptive. As a objective, we sought to verify elements that make it possible to assess the credibility of the information available on the Web. To meet the proposed objective, a literature review was applied in order to identify publications that deal with the topics: fake news, Post-truth, Infodemia, Misinformation, Checking and Credibility of information. It is concluded that the fact-checking method was considered valid in the content accreditation, since it starts from checking the entire informational context, going through validation steps, which allows the transparency of the method and the sources checked. Due to a large amount of information available on the internet, the practice of content checking has become necessary for the verification and certification of publications, relevant to the public interest, combating fake news and the movement of infodemia, and disinformation in today's society.

الوصف: Investigates the custodial, historicist, patrimonial and technicist paradigm (1789-1945), and post-custodial, informational and scientific paradigm (1945) of trans and interdisciplinary Information Science. Guided by the Quadripolar Method. For data collection uses questionnaire surveys and semi-structured interviews, applied to the directors of District Archives / Brazilian and Portuguese States. The results of the study demonstrate the prevalence of the essential features of custodial, patrimonial, historicist and technicist paradigm and highlights the strong patrimonial component of custodial paradigm, mainly from the twentieth century in Portugal; the technical emphasis (record management) in the archives ofSouthern Brazil and the State objectives in relation to information and communication technology impose on government structures, characteristic of the Industrial Age, showing that the paradigm shift in progress, will be slow, made of overlapping and coexistence, but not paradigmatic rupture . Alert to the need of understanding the Archives as Information System and the need for a different kind of mediation, clearly post-custodial.

الوصف: Latin America does not research on the problems of digital divide related to gender. This was one of the findings in the research made at Universidade Estadual Paulista, which included the most cited literature in English, Spanish and Portuguese in the domain of the digital divide. Women's lack of access to digital information technology or their inability to benefit from it, due to their gender, define a type of exclusion that is being studied in developed countries, but Latin America is neglected. To contribute to the development of gender research in librarian and information sciences, this study compiled the most relevant works about gender digital exclusion, identifying the main problems they refer to, articulating them in a conceptual map that allows to perceive the challenges and opportunities of research that they imply to the region. The target is to break academic silence in librarian and information sciences, and spread out what we know about gender digital exclusion, articulating it comprehensively to boost new projects, valuing female exclusion in science and technology, and specifically in information and communication technology, as a central problem of the research agenda of librarian and information sciences, of all Social Sciences, and of Latin American education and research institutions.

الوصف: The evaluation of originals by peers is the best way of ensuring the science quality. Therefore, it is essential to analyze the evaluative system that is currently outlined: The open peer review. It is the macro objective of the paper to evaluate the feasibility of adopting open evaluation in the sphere of reviewers in the area of information science. The specific objectives are to analyze the perspective of future use of open peer review in the information science journals classified by the Qualis system of the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior; to evaluate the knowledge of the open peer review from the viewpoint of the reviewers; to identify the (dis)advantages that scientific journals evaluators perceive regarding the open peer review. The research method (qualitative-quantitative research) is the survey. The research population includes reviewers of all 34 information science journals with concept A and B attributed by this Coordenação, reaching a sample of 189 out of the total of 709 reviewers (26.6%). The data were collected through electronic questionnaires sent to the sample units. Among the results, it is remarkable that most (137 or 72.4%) of the reviewers are willing to adopt open review, although they recognize that, like any other arbitration system, it has its advantages and disadvantages.

الوصف: The analysis and the discursive relation of Library Science can be undertaken from different currents of thought. In this work we focus on the Library Science discourses with the Social and Human Sciences; in particular, with the current of thought entitled "construction of the social". This strand seeks to understand no more totalities or structures, but the individual and his social actions. For this discussion in the field of Social and Human Sciences in dialogue with the Library Science discourses the following authors were convened: Alfaro-Lopez (2010), Rendón-Rojas (2000), Brown-César (2000) and David Lankes (2015). The understanding of the knowledge that forms part of the discourse of Library Science allows a more in-depth view of this scientific field, bringing also light to the broader context of the Social and Human Sciences, where it is inserted as a specific modality of thought.

الوصف: The aim of this article is to identify points of contact between the Ontology of Language and Information Science and to propose a analysis on the impact of Language Ontology in generating critical thinking about the role of professionals and users of information units. The methodology used in this research was exploratory, descriptive, of a qualitative nature and resorted to the bibliographic survey. The identification of points of contact between the two areas of study made it possible to perceive that, for the Ontology of Language as well as for the Science of Information, it is important to broaden the understanding of what is happening behind the way people act. The analysis of the impact of Language Ontology on the generation of critical thinking about the role of professionals and users contributed to situate the importance of the conversations and their consequences in the networks of commitments that permeate information units. The research provides inputs for the questioning of the role of professionals and users as active agents in the informational process. It also provides inputs for the development of alternatives for professional intervention in information units, considering the current trends and future perspectives of Information Science.
