Due to decreased stroke mortality rates and rising life expectancy, chronic diseases and disabilities following strokes are on the increase. This has encouraged the development of new methods in post-stroke rehabilitation. Conventional therapy methods are being combined with new active motor therapies such as somato- sensible stimulation, mental imagination and robot-assisted training using virtual reality or repetitive transcranial magnet stimulation. Suitable protocols for the use of these new therapy procedures in combination with traditional therapy must still be developed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

Aufgrund einer sinkenden Schlaganfallsterblichkeit und einer steigenden Lebenserwartung nehmen chronische Leiden und Behinderungen nach Schlaganfall zu. Dies treibt die Entwicklung neuer Methoden in der Rehabilitation nach Schlaganfall voran. Dabei werden herkömmliche Therapiemethoden mit neuen aktiven motorischen Therapien wie die somatosensible Stimulation, mentale Imagination, Roboter-unterstütztes Training, mittels virtueller Realität oder etwa repetitive Transkranielle Magnetstimulation kombiniert. Geeignete Protokolle für den Einsatz der neuen Therapieverfahren in Kombination mit der herkömmlichen Therapie müssen in Zukunft noch entwickelt werden. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
