The article reports on a conference on intergenerational aspects of media use and reception and their implications for education, held on December 2, 2011, in Munich, Germany. Presentations discussed such topics as the role of media in the socialization of younger and older people, the impact of social milieus and lifeworlds on attitudes toward mass media, and the role of the media in facilitating dialogue between generations. |
