西方传统的精神健康服务方式采取的是生物化学模式,关注精神疾病患者病症的诊断和消除,把精神疾病患者视为需要帮助的服务对象。随着20世纪60、70年代服务使用者运用的产生和发展,社会工作的自助和同伴支持的重要理念逐渐在精神健康服务中获得普遍的认可,让人们看到精神疾病患者自身所拥有的能力,不再仅仅关注精神疾病患者的病症,而是把精神疾病患者视为具有各种发展要求的人。到了20世纪90年代,西方精神健康服务方式逐渐采取复原模式,把自助和同伴支持确定为帮助服务使用者寻回有意义生活的重要元素。西方精神健康服务方式转变的基础,是对精神疾病患者看法的根本改变,把自助和同伴支持确立为服务的核心理念。 ; The traditional model of mental health services in West is a biochemical one,which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.As a consumer movement emerged in the 1960s and 70s,it made the concept of self-help and peer support be accepted as one of the important principles in mental health services,and mental patients to be regarded as normal social members with their own strengths and demands.It is not until 1990s,recovery model came to prevail in mental health services and took self-help and peer support as fundamental elements for mental patients to seek meaningful life.Obviously,the basic change underlying the development of mental health services in the West is the shift of view of mental patients,which stresses self-help and peer support as core values in mental health services. |
