مستخلص: Purification technology of theasaponin from Cameilia oleifera cake was studied using Amberliter XAD - 16 and DM130 macroporous resins. And antimicrobial activity of rough and purified theasaponin extractions were investigated on 10 microbs in plates. Under their respective optimal condition of Amberliter XAD - 16 and DM130 resins, the purity of theasaponin from DM130 was the highest (as the purity of 85. 6% ) , that of Amberliter XAD - 16 was the lowest (as 74. 5 %). The purity from AB - 8 resin was 83. 5 %. Purified product and rough extract had the similar antimicrobial activity. Both of them had strong inhibitory effect against Rhizocitomicd soldnic, less bactericidal effect against Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus albu and Monilia albican, and a little inhibitory effects against Aeronionas hydrophila, Aeromonas cavia, Proteusbacillus vulgaris and Aeromonas sobria. Neither of them had anti- microbial effect on Aspergillus sp. and Aspergillus oryzae. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
