الوصف: 2060124010014 ; 工程與系統科學系 ; In supporting the INER shielding design/analysis for the TRR-II project, the purpose of this study is to use radiation transport codes to perform a study of the streaming problem of neutrons/gamma rays related to TRR-II. The analysis model for streaming problem is established. The effects of radiation streaming on the shielding design are evaluated. Studies included in this report are: bulk shielding analysis, beamline penetration analysis and the dose effect of a hydrogen tube. It is shown in the bulk shielding case that the most of the doses outside the biological shield come from gamma rays. When a hydrogen tube is installed for the cold neutron source, the dose level on the upper pool surface increases by a factor of 10~20. In the beamline penetration analysis, the neutron/gamma fluxes calculated by DORT are underestimated. With the use of DXTRAN spheres, a variance reduction technique in the Monte Carlo code, MCNP, results in acceptable statistical errors which can be obtained within a reasonable computation time
