مستخلص: A study published in the journal Vascular Medicine examined the relationship between coronary artery calcium (CAC) and stroke mortality. The study included 63,630 participants without a history of stroke or coronary heart disease and found that individuals with CAC had a higher risk of stroke mortality compared to those without CAC. The risk increased with higher CAC scores. The study suggests that CAC may be a useful marker for predicting atherosclerotic disease-related mortality, including stroke mortality. However, the study had limitations, such as a predominantly white sample and limited female representation. [Extracted from the article]
