In Mangan et al.'s study, the following four keywords were used to find the videos referring to the medical condition strabismus: "strabismus", "squint", "eye squint", and "crossed eye." We entered the words "crossed eye surgery" and "lazy eye surgery" on Google Trends and found that "lazy eye surgery" had a 280% greater search rate in the past decade (2010 to 2020) than the former. Additionally, the term "lazy eye" has a 160%, 250%, 4100%, and 450% higher search frequency than the terms "strabismus", "squint", "eye squint", "crossed eye.". [Extracted from the article] |
