The article describes the case of a 22-year-old woman who developed a Tarlov cyst in the spine. She had a history of soreness in the lumbar area which radiated to the right posterior lower limb. The results of her magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) indicated that the pelvic cyst was an extension from an engorged neural foramen in the sacrum on the right side. Physicians found an expansile left perineural cyst in contact with the normal thecal sac via a fusiform arachnoidal tear. |
