The authors reflect on efforts being made in Europe to improve screening for sexually transmitted infections (STI). It mentions the European clinical guidelines for the management of STIs from the International Union against STI, which recommend the screening of all patients for STIs including HIV, syphilis and chlamydia. It adds that the European MSM Internet Survey shows a strong geographical difference among European countries regarding clinical practice for men who have sex with men (MSM). |
