The article presents a case study of a 67-year-old woman who developed tumor lysis syndrome characterized by extremely elevated lactate dehydrogenase and AST levels during her first cycle of bortezomib therapy for stage III multiple myeloma. Dexamethasone was included in the concomitant medications administered on the same days as bortezomib, prophylactic allopurinol and a disphosphonate regimen. |
