The authors discuss potential treatment and prevention of endometrial cancer with progestin-containing intrauterine devices (IUD). They cite a case which describes the use of a progestin-diagnosed with grade 2 endometrial adenocarcinoma. They recommend clinicians to consider assessing progesterone receptor levels by immunohistochemistry on endometrial biopsies when women are treated conservatively. |
