The article discusses a U.S. survey of residency program directors to determine their insights on proposed recommendations by the Duty Hour Task Force of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medication Education (ACGME) with regards to residents' duty hours. Most survey respondents support the ACGME recommendations with regards to mandatory off-duty time, 94%, workload, 92%, and moonlighting, 93%. Majority of the respondents also approve the proposals regarding maximum hours weekly, 83% and supervision, 72%. |
