Abstract—Regulatory peptides have modulatory and integrative functions defining communication between different systems of the body. This review summarizes and systematizes the data on drugs created on the basis of peptide regulators. The therapeutic profiles of a wide range of oligopeptides are considered in various body systems: nervous, cardiovascular, digestive, immune, endocrine, etc. The data on various mechanisms of the polyfunctional physiological effect of peptide drugs are presented. These effects are, allosteric receptor modulations, directed transcriptome change, and induction of cascade processes. The innovative advantages of preparations of oligopeptide analogs are described.
