The article presents a case study of a 31-year-oldwoman who was assessed with mild renal failure with a family history of kidney disease. The mild chronic renal failure of the patient was attributable to a chronic interstitial nephritis. The diagnosis of familial juvenile hyperuricaemic nephropathy (FJHN) is provided by the family history with a clue to be caused by a mutation in UMOD. |
