الوصف: Crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM) is a metabolic adaptation of photosynthesis that enhances water use efficiency. Here, via genomic analysis of Kalanchoë, the authors provide evidence for convergent evolution of protein sequence and temporal gene expression underpinning the multiple independent emergences of CAM.
