مستخلص: The article focuses on the Nobel Prize awardees in Physics in the field of optics. Roy Glauber of Harvard University was awarded half the prize for his quantum mechanical theory of optical coherence. John Hall of JILA (a collaboration between the University of Colorado and the National institute of standards and Technology, both of boulder, Co) and Theodore Hansch of the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics jointly won the other half of their development of optical frequency-measurement techniques.
