مستخلص: The article details a study on the association of mass cell tumor (MCT) with spay/neuter status, breed, body size, and phylogenetic cluster of dogs. This study, which involves 252 dogs with grade 2 or 3 cutaneous MCT, found that increased risk for MCT development is common in several breeds including Labrador retrievers, pugs and golden retrievers. The study concludes that as of May 2011, further studies are needed in order to evaluated the potential risk factors in MCT development.
