Examines the metabolic disposition of tobacco alkaloids in humans. Study methodology; What is pyridoxal phosphate three; How the rates of nonenzymatic racemization reactions are increased; Effect of pH on the rate of racemization of nornicotine; Reaction of nornicotine and the zwitterionic form of pyridoxal; Findings revealed that racemization of amines with a chiral center in the beta-position could be catalyzed by pyridoxal. |
