مستخلص: The article presents a study which compared three label-free methods for quantitative assessment of binding strengths of proteins interacting with small molecule ligands. These methods include isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), surface plasmon resonance (SPR), and nanoelectrospray mass spectrometry (nESI-MS). The performance, limitations and disadvantages of the three methods are discussed. It is concluded that label-free methods to determine the binding strengths of protein-ligand systems are important in life sciences.
