Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has signed a loan agreement with India to provide Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) loans amounting to JPY 426,814 million ($3.2bn) for projects in the urban, rural, and forestry sectors. The loan agreement signed for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project is the largest loan agreement JICA has ever signed for a single project.
