This essay is about considering and explaining the symbolic world of rice. The new changes and advances that are related to the rice exploitation are the elements that explain this new situation. How to cultivate rice doesn't only belongs to the Valencian culture where it comes from. The clash between the Andalusian representation and the Valencian one lead to a process of cultural hybridization, which overcomes the previous symbolic clash. Este artículo se dedica a contemplar y explicar el mundo simbólico del arrozal. Las transformaciones en la cultura del trabajo en el cultivo del arroz son elementos que explican esta nueva situación. El saber hacer de los arroceros deja de pertenecer a la cultura valenciana de la que provienen. El enfrentamiento entre la representación andaluza y la valenciana dejan paso a un proceso de hibridación cultural, en la cual se supera la anterior lucha simbólica. A su vez también incluyo algunas referencias simbólicas a nivel mundial donde el arroz es el representante más importante. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
