The article presents a research paper concerning the model of word recognition to a letter recognition model. It describes the major categories of word recognition models which includes the word shape models, the serial model and the parallel model of letter recognition. The paper also presents data that were used as evidence to support each model, and will describe some recent development in word recognition and more detailed model that is popular among psychologists. Further, it notes that the word shape is no longer a viable model of words recognition. |
