الوصف: Five isozymes of LDH are demonstrable in the epidermis of the ear pinnae, hind feet, trunk dorsa, and tails of adult C57BL, C57HR, and C3HB mice by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. LDH-5 activity predominates in electropherograms. The ratio of LDH-1 to LDH-K is greater in the epidermis of ear pinna and trunk dorsum than in that of tail and hind foot. The region-specific patterns of epidermal LDH isozymes are not correlated with melanin pigmentation or "hairiness' of the skin.

الوصف: The genotype difference (dystrophic vs nondystrophic) in the LDH isozymes is observed in kidney. These differences are evident only at birth and at early developmental stages (before the expression of dystrophic symptoms). The tissue specific genotype differences for PK are limited to the thigh muscle (M form) and heart (L form), after the onset of the condition. These differences may reflect the pleiotropic effect of the dy2J locus during the temporal regulation of these and other enzymes implicated in muscular dystrophy (MD).

الوصف: Observations sur la multiplication de deux particules differentes de virus dans le serum de la sour's apres infection par l'agent de LDH. Le fait que la grande particule a disparu du serum sept semaines apres l'infection suggere que la petite particule est responsable de la viremie persistante et du taux eleve de l'enzyme dans le sang des animaux infectes.

الوصف: At concentrations of 200 muM NADH and 0.5 M NaCl LDH-X is separated from the other LDH isozymes of mouse testes on oxamate-sepharose. In a second step LDH-X is bound to the same matrix at lower NADH and NaCl concentrations and the pure enzyme can subsequently be eluted.Results of a method of rapid purification of lactate dehydrogenase X (LDH-X) from mouse testes by 2 stepts of affinity chromatography on oxamate-sepharose at different sodium chloride (NaCl) and NADH concentrations are discussed. At concentrations of 200 mcM NADH and .5 M NaCl, LDH-X is separated from other LDH isoenzymes. The binding of LDH-X to the column is then carried out on the unbound fractions containing LDH-X and contaminating proteins after a 1:5 dilution. The resulting NADH and NaCl concentrations allow the binding of LDH-X. The specific activity of purified mouse LDH-X from testes was 120 IU/mg. The main advantage of this technique is the rapidity and ease of purification.
