مستخلص: Venous flaps based on inferior epigastric pedicle were raised in adult Wistar rats. Their haemodynamics were studied using laser Doppler on the skin and microvascular ultrasonic pulsed Doppler on the pedicle vein. The results of the study seem to indicate a to and fro flow in the single cephalad pedicle vein. A discussion regarding the physiology of venous flaps is presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
