The article discusses a third of the over 40,000 deaths in the United Kingdom attributed to the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic occurred in people with diabetes. Topics inclde using recommendations, clinicians should take a holistic view including co-morbidities, ethnicity and socio-economic deprivation; and factors include severe mental health illness, learning difficulties, frailty or planning pregnancy. |
