مستخلص: Highly crystalline ZnO nanorods with different aspect ratios are prepared by controlling the concentration of the Zn precursor in 1-octyl alcohol and capping agents. UV absorption spectra exhibit absorption peaks around 350 nm, which are red-shifted as the aspect ratio of the nanorods increases. Photoluminescence spectra show intense UV emissions with defect associated broad and weak visible emissions for the as-prepared ZnO nanorods, indicating good crystallinity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
